Overnight stay rate starts from 3,500 for 2 pax with set breakfast
88 hot spring resort is one of the most “sulit” places you can go to if you like nature, hot springs, spa and korean cuisine. It is just a 2-hour bus ride from Manila.
For as low as 3500 for 2 pax on weekdays (That’s only 1750 per head!) or 4600 for 2 pax on weekends, get access to the following amenities plus a free plated breakfast.
Day tour costs only 1,500 for adults and 1,300 for kids, 8:00am to 10:00pm, meals included.

Do you know that there are 7 types of rest. One type of rest is creative rest. We can experience creative rest whenever we appreciate beauty such as the beauty of nature. When you rest creatively, you allow yourself to simply be without overthinking or analyzing your surroundings.
In 88 hotspring resort, you can appreciate the beauty of nature around you. Landscaped garden everywhere, a wishing well, a lake full of water lilies, a waterfall and a vegetable farm.
There are a total of 9 pools you can access. All of them filled with warm water from a hot spring.
The kids' pool is not as warm as the other pools. Kids don’t like pools that are too warm. This pool has 2 kiddie slides and a shower fountain. Cottages are available around it where adults can stay to supervise their kids.
There are two octagon pools available. One just beside the kid’s pool and one beside the pension houses. The water in this pool can be as hot as 43 degrees celsius!
Located at the front of the massage center is a big pool with warmer water compared to the kids pool but not as hot as the octagon pools.
Deeper pools are available on the 2nd level, beside the korean restaurant. These pools are for people who would like to swim on deeper pools or swim on laps. Videoke / Karaoke is right beside the biggest 5 feet pool.
There are more pools just a few more steps above the second level 5-feet pools. Because it is on the third level, it feels more private here as there are less people swimming there compared to the pools on the ground level.
The resort has been operating since 2006. The pools on the 2nd and third level look a bit less maintained than the ground level ones. The kiddie slides need a paint retouch but over all, the place doesn't look like it is has been operating for 16 years! 88 hot spring resort boasts being the best resort in Laguna on 2017 and still one of the best resorts on 2022.
Full body massage is available for 800 pesos. For a full experience, we recommend getting their korean style relaxation package. For an additional 400 pesos, you can get additional services - 15 minutes sauna, body scrub and a facial massage. Their facial massage comes with a Korean face mask.
We suggest booking this package just before bedtime or before going home right after check out. The whole package takes 1.5 hours. Last slot is 7:30pm to 9:00pm. Checkout time is 11:30am. You can book as early as 7:00am.
You can arrive with wet clothes from swimming in the hot pools. You will get wet anyway while doing the body scrub. We suggest bringing lots of extra undies. A locker is provided upon check-in
There is also a hiking trail but was not able to explore it. Went in a group with senior citizens and kids.
There are so many things you can do here at 88 hot spring resort for as low as 1750 per head overnight or 1500 day tour. Here is a map.
Food inside resorts is usually expensive. You can bring your own food for a budget-friendly stay for a corkage fee of 100 pesos per head. I suggest doing this if you are on a tight budget or if you are not a fan of Korean food but would still like to visit 88 hot spring resort.
There is a snack bar available located just between the kiddie and adult pool. Sandwiches, corn dogs, mandu, fries, ice cream and beverages are available. Take note that all prices are still subject to 12% tax. We tried their fries, mandu, hotdog sandwich, korean ice cream, tteokbokki and iced tea. The iced tea is too sweet. We added more water to make more and to make it less sweet.
The only korean food you can order here is Tteokbokki. I highly suggest you try it if you like Korean food. I love their Teokbokki to bits! It is so good it was almost gone before I remembered to take a shot.
If you love Korean food, I suggest to have your dinner at their Korean restaurant at the second level, near the check-in area.
Unlike most samgyupsal restaurants, they serve perilla and other korean veggies (aside form the usual lettuce). Their veggies are very fresh and harvested straight from their vegetable farm.
They do not have the unlimited option if you are a fan of unli. We don’t eat a lot so we are not a fan of unlimited samgyupsal ourselves. Minimum order is 2 orders of the same kind of meat. Your third and succeeding orders can be any kind of meat. 5 kinds of side dishes will be served, depending on what is available. Samjang and sesame oil is served and slices of garlic.
Click here to check 88 Spa and Hotspring Restaurant menu. We ordered 2 samgyupsal, jap chae, kimchi jiggae and some drinks. Not a fan of Jap Chae but I liked how they made theirs. A lot better than the one served in bonchon :) I love the Korean food here. It is a lot better than in Seoul Kitchen.
If you don’t like Korean and don’t like to bring food as well. You can eat at their Makiling Inihaw resto. Click here to see what is available at Makiling inihaw.
If you still dont like your food options at makiling inihaw, you can go outside and eat at nearby (walking distance) restaurants such as Max’s.
Free breakfast is included if you choose to stay overnight. Plated breakfast is served in their Korean restaurant. There are only three options - corned beef / hotdog / spicy bulgogi served with rice and egg. Choice of brewed coffee or orange juice for drinks.
If you like Korean food, you will love their spicy Bulgogi. Otherwise, there is nothing special with corned beef and hotdog for breakfast. I wish they could offer more options for breakfast
All rooms include entrance fee for 2 persons with breakfast. Extra adult would cost an additional 1650. Extra kid would cost an additional 1300.
This is the cheapest accommodation you can avail. 3,500 for weekdays and 4600 on weekends. Maximum of 3 persons can stay in a room.
Towel, toiletries, soap, shampoo and dental kits are provided. There is a mini fridge filled with drinks. Two bottles of water are included in the accommodation. Anything consumed aside from your free water bottle will be charged on check out. Check the settings of your refrigerator before sleeping. I woke up thirsty in the morning but all drinks were already frozen 🙂
You can refill your water bottles at the second level korean restaurant's water dispenser.
Television, hair dryer and water heater is provided. I suggest you bring your own instant coffee or tea because no coffee /tea is provided in the rooms. Not sure where to use the water heater though.
There is no hot/cold water in the bathroom. Everything is hot. Suggest to leave your bathroom windows open because the stench of the sewer seems to come out from the drainage.
The standard rooms are just the right distance from the kiddie pool. I suggest you book our room 507. It is roughly only 20 steps away because it is right beside a short cut. Far enough to not hear the noise of children swimming but not too far away.
These are located just in front of the standard rooms but with greater room capacity.
Rate for bamboo deluxe or bamboo suite is 3,900 on weekdays and 5,600 on weekends. Max capacity is 4 persons.
Bamboo deluxe has a king-sized bed while bamboo suite has a queen size and a single bed.
This accommodation is my favorite. I suggest you take this room if you do not have any kids in your group. It is on the farthest location but most serene. The rooms are near the lake, vegetable garden and waterfalls. Just right beside one of the octagon pools and the adult pool.
Rate is 4,600 on weekdays and 6,600 on weekends. Max capacity is 6 persons.
This accommodation is on the second floor just above the massage area, near the pension houses. Do not get this room if you have pwd companion who cannot use stairs.
Rate is 7,000 on weekdays and 10,600 on weekends. Max capacity is 6 persons. Entrance fee for 4 pax included.
Perfect accommodation if you have kids. It sits just in front of the kiddie pool. The rooms are very accessible as it is near the pools and snack bar. Disadvantage would be the noise.
Rate is 4,500 on weekdays and 6,600 on weekends. Max capacity is 6 persons.
